This session will cover organizational readiness for technology, web presence social media and developing an organizational media plan. This workshop primarily address the media needs of smaller nonprofit, ones that are trying to develop their online footprint or those that do not have a dedicated media coordinator.

The day will include presentation and small group discussion, as well as the opportunity "play' with some online social media and apps.

About the instructor: 

Sherida Ryan is the Coordinator for the Community University Research Alliance on Social Business and Marginalized Social Groups (also known as Business Done Differently) and a Co-director of the Social Economy Centre where she is responsible for knowledge mobilization and social media. Sherida teaches in the Department of Adult Education and Community Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. Her research focus is on the impact of emerging technology in community development, the social economy and adult education.

Regular fee for one day workshop: $140 plus HST.

Discounted rates:Second and subsequent workshops for the same person; or more than one participant from the same organization: $125 plus HST.

Student rate: $50 plus HST
